Alcantara horse ride of 1h30min with equestrian guide. We start from a small fluvial oasis near the village of Castiglione di Sicilia. Riding our horses, we rise up the river between little lakes dug into volcanic rock until we reach small gorges, from here the riding goes on to the famous Byzantine Cuba, a 7th century rural chapel. A path will lead us right into the river. The low water will allow us to ride inside it and againts the current, throught lush landscapes rich in vegetation and endemic species (riding into water may not be possible in the summer months due to the dryness of the river cause of the high temperatures of July and August). The duration of the horse excursion is 1 hour and 30 minutes and it's suitable for beginners or anyone who wants to try unconventional experiences.
