The Top Crater jeep tour includes pick-up at your accommodation. Until reach the altitude of 3000 meters the program of this tour is the same as described for the Etna Jeep Tour 3000, but unlike the latter, the Top Crater goes up to the summit areas of mount Etna an altitude of 3340 meters.
Got off from the 4x4 vehicles we will start with an high-altitude trek accompanied by volcanological guides. Walking along a charming volcanic trail, we will reach the edge of one of the summit craters of Etna.
The trekking is quite challenging, it will takes 2 hours 30 minutes around to ascent and descent with a difference of 450 meters around. Along the way you will be surrounded by spectacular landscapes like fumaroles, sulphurous gases emissions, stunning sea views.
You will walk on the roof of Sicily, over one of the most imposing volcano of the world, home of Hephaestus, god of fire.
